Agave

A large plant indigenous to South and Central America that looks like a cross between a giant pineapple and a cactus. The plant is actually a member of the Lily Family. There are hundreds of varieties of agave, cultivated and wild. The Weber Blue Agave is used to make tequila (see Blue Agave). Also known as maguey in other Mexican regions.
